Mindful Seeing @ RWA

  • RWA Queens Road Bristol, England United Kingdom (map)

A holistic approach to transform the way we see & experience the world around us

Join Naomi for a mindful seeing session at the RWA to explore the Annual Open Exhibition. There are over 500 contemporary works with both emerging talent and established names, spanning painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, architecture, sculpture, and mixed-media installation.

It’s a great opportunity to see much amazing artwork, but it can also be overwhelming due to the number of pieces on show. Vision Yoga techniques can help you see and experience the show in a new mindful way.

You’ll learn breathing techniques and gentle accessible movement to relax and focus our eyes, mind and body. We’ll then transition to see the exhibition mindfully; your relaxed state will enable you to be present with your experience. Even if you’ve attended the exhibition already, this class will encourage you to see it in a new way.

You don’t need any prior experience of yoga or to bring yoga mats, as we’ll be practicing mostly on chairs. You might want to wear something comfortable, but it’s fine to wear your normal clothes. Everyone welcome!

About Naomi

Naomi has been teaching Yoga in Bristol for over 20 years and during the last 6 years, I’ve developed a unique method called Vision Yoga.

Vision Yoga is a holistic approach to balance our eyes, mind and body, so that we can see more clearly in all dimensions; physically, mentally and emotionally.

Naomi will show you the transformative benefits of Natural Vision Therapy and Yoga through a simple and accessible practice.

Fees are on a sliding scale from free to £11

Please book through RWA website.
